Jan and Pete got married at The Redan Inn, which is a rustic country pub in Chilcompton near Bath. They had their ceremony at The Guildhall in Bath.
Getting ready
Jan got ready at home with friends. I arrived at the house in the pouring rain. And I mean proper pouring. This didn’t seem to worry anyone, they were all buzzing and in such a good mood. The rain eased just in time as the Rolls Royce was due to arrive. I headed off as the ceremony venue as it was a good 30-minute drive and I was looking forward to catching up with Pete and the guys.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was a beautiful service held in The Alkmaar Room at The Guildhall in Bath, which is the biggest room available, perfect for all of the guests. I was amazed at how calm Pete was, just taking everything in his stride. Jan looked fabulous when she walked into the room with her always beaming smile. The Guildhall in Bath is still one of the best places to have a registry wedding – it is incredibly stylish, and offers a choice of lavishly decorated rooms to hold your ceremony. There is also the stunning Parade Gardens close by that’s perfect for photo ops. Even though it was spitting with rain they were both up for a few photos and luckily the rain eased off, so we ditched the brollies and we took some beautiful photos of them both. Then it was back to the awaiting Rolls Royce and they headed off to the Reception venue in style.
The Reception
The reception took place The Redann Inn in Midsomer Norton. I know this place very well being only 5 mins up the road from where I live! I love the rustic feel, with its vintage signs wooden decor. There was a marquee set up outside and it wasn’t long before the party got into full swing with the live band playing into the night. The atmosphere was great and I was very tempted to stay and join the dancing and walk home! If it wasn’t for the fact that I had to get all my kit back in one piece!
The Couple
Jan wore a stunning green dress with flower sequins and Pete wore a blue suit with a purple tie and pocket handkerchief and looked very dapper!
